Creamy Chicken with Rice
Ingredients
1kg SPAR Frozen Chicken – thawed
3 tblsp SPAR Oil
1 Large Onion – diced
1 Green Pepper – diced
1 Clove Garlic Crushed
1 Cup SPAR Chicken Stock
½ tsp Dried Basil
½ tsp Dried Origanum
Salt & Pepper to taste
3 tblsp SPAR Bread Flour
1 ½ Cups SPAR Milk
1 Cup SPAR Cheese – grated
Method
Heat the oil in a large pot on medium heat. Fry the onions and green pepper
until soft and translucent.Add the Garlic and fry for 2 minutes.
Add Chicken Stock, herbs, salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Add the Chicken pieces and simmer over medium heat until cooked through. When the chicken is cooked and the stock reduced (only about 150ml of stock / liquid should be
in the pot), then add the flour and mix well.
Add the milk and stir until it forms a creamy sauce. Add the cheese and let it simmer until cheese is melted.
Serve with Rice.
