Traditional Phaphatha

INGREDIENTS

2 cups SPAR Cake Flour
2 tsp SPAR Baking Powder
1/2tsp salt
1 tsp SPAR Sugar
1/2 Cup SPAR Full Cream Milk

METHOD

Take the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar in a bowl.
Slowly add the milk and knead everything as a dough. Drop the dough on a floured surface,
and knead everything until the dough turns

Arrange the dough in a bowl, wrap it and let it sit for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into 6-7 balls,
dust and roll as a thick discs. Heat a griddle, once its hot, drop the shaped discs (two or three at a time)
on the hot griddle. Don’t overcrowd the griddle.
Cook the bread over medium heat on both sides until Diphaphatha turns golden brown.

Enjoy the bread warm with your favorite spreads or sauces.
