Botho University Rugby Ryders
SPAR Botswana is a proud sponsor of the Botho University Rugby Ryders team. My Spar Botswana sponsored the teams with a new kit prior to their encounter against BAC North in Francistown. Both the men and ladies teams were ecstatic to receive the kit in time for the BRU rugby league, where they have previously excelled.
Botswana SPCA Golf Day
This is the BSPCA’s biggest fund raising event of the year and SPAR Botswana is proud to lend their support as a sponsor. The 2016 golf day saw an all-time high in participation and thanks to the help of sponsors, friends and volunteers, the day was a resounding success. North vs. South Swimming
SPAR is a proud sponsor of this well-contested event in which the best primary school level swimmers from schools in the north and south compete against each other. Each year hosting of the North vs. South Swimming Gala is rotated between the two regions. The 2016 gala took place at Thornhill Primary School on 18 and 19 March. It was a very colourful event with the southern parents making a huge effort to dress in the ‘colours’ of the south. The children all swam their hearts out and the result was probably one of the closest in years.
